So I've been reading and reading and finally decided I'll write and hope to find a dive buddy.

I have certifications in AOW, wreck and nitrox. But I really want to practice and learn to feel confident in my skills outside of classes. I did some reading and Casino point looks like a nice place for beginners while being fairly convenient and very interesting? If you have already been to Casino Point, that's even better. I can learn the ropes from you. The process of meeting buddies online is a little unsettling for someone like me because I'm so nutty about being prepared. Meeting a total stranger to do a dive is definitely outside my comfort zone. But all the posts on this site has given me confidence in sending out this request... :D

But honestly I just want to dive! I met lots of great people during my classes and have dove with some occasionally...but I want to dive more. So I figure this site is the best way to meet lots of potential divers quickly.

Anyone interested?

I've dived Casino Point once or twice, or a few thousand times. It is a great place to gain experience. Entries and exits are facilitated by stairs leading to the water (although there can be lines to test your patience on weekends). Hopefully you will find a buddy among the folks on SB who might be coming out that weekend. Have you checked dive shops in your area to see if they are coming out here then?

Alberto's suggestion that you try the eDiving simulator for the Point is a great one. It will give you a good idea of what to expect.

I will probably be diving on the King Neptune that weekend and most of my dives are work-related which makes it hard to buddy up with anyone. Hope you have a great time here.

I was thinking about going on great escape on 6th but casino point is fun too and it usually means more than 3 dives.

I would be interested to dive on any of those days.
