I haven't been back to Thailand since 2001 when I spent a month there, mostly on Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Koh Tao. I really enjoyed it and should go back. That was 15 years ago so I don't know what pries are like today, but I had no problem finding good places to stay for $10 or less per night.
