No clue but if I figure it out and see one this weekend I will take a picture.

There is some big pole bases going in, one on transversal right past Chedraui and I seen another one on 30 and 5ish - big deep holes they dug.

I have a friend who had a business in Coz.
I once asked about having to pay mordita or derecho de piso.

He said the only shakedowns were from govmt employees none from criminals.

I wonder if that's still true these days... or if they are getting squeezed by gov't officials and multiple cartels.

It's true - the latter tried but they aren't involved here according to everyone I know in town.

It'll be a few months and things will go back to normal pay to play.
 
Just a reminder
Time change does not happen in Cozumel. It remains at GMT -5. Yesterday it aligned with US Central time and today it aligns with US Eastern time.

US based flights remain on US time zones so arrivals and departures will be an hour later, till March 10 2024.
