does anyone know the conversion of metric (7 litre) to imperial (cubic ft) on scuba tanks?

It is not quite that simple. In Europe, they give the size of a cylinder in litres of internal volume. In the USA we give the size of a cylinder in standard cubic feet of gas capacity at rated pressure. So to convert you need to know the rated pressure of each cylinder and either its internal volume or its rated capacity. From there the conversion is simple. PV=NRT, 1 litre=.03532 CF

Only problem is 7l is the water volume or non-compressible so you have to multiply it by the number of bar ( 200bar ~ 3000psi)
A 80 cuft tank is 11l but when pressurized to 200 bar or 2200 litres

It depends on the working pressure of the cylinder but a good general approximation is 50cf.

I thank everyone for sharing their knowledge. one more question will a 50 lb wing have enough lift for faber 108's with ss backplate?
