Bit of a breeze in Cozumel right now. Not diving today due to family arriving, haven't looked at the water yet. Birds were quiet this morning.
Everything was quiet! It felt like Sunday on my street. Even the corner store, which usually opens at 6:30 a.m. to sell its sandwiches to people on their way to work, delayed opening for at least an hour. Nobody was out.

I am sitting in Pennsylvania and could have predicted a port closure for a few days but I do have a degree in Meteorology, hence the nick name Accu Al.

Ships in the night! I've been here a while now, mainly underwater or heading to or from.
Great day to hit the Tequila farm up north!!!!!! If you go, save some for me please.

Bit of a breeze? 25 knot gusts from NW at 9 am. My guess is that it is more than family that is keeping you from diving today! I do hope it opens for ya'll but it does not look promising until maybe Monday afternoon or Tuesday.

See how smooth it is over there! A northwest wind is perfect for diving the other side as you can see, but if it shifts to the due north or north east both sides suck. But given this situation it is for us, and the many who love the unique beauty over there it is a "Perfect Norte" Forests of Elkhart Coral, unique in the world micro atolls at Hanan, a sunken galleon with 17 canons and anchors with lots of canon balls…plus everything is pristine!

Looking at windguru.... am I crazy or is it only calming down a bit on Wed/Thur before another front comes in?!
