Lightweight alternative to Jet fins

I'm not sure how the OMS slipstreams could be specified as heavier than jets. I own both and the Slipstreams are significantly lighter. You might be comparing them to the shorter smaller version of the jet fin rather than the standard "XL Lightning Jet".

If anyone really really cares I can go to the garage and weigh both but that takes effort.

I like the slipstream a lot as a lighter jet equivalent.

I need new fins. Are the Scuba Pro Go Sports good for Tech diving on Wrecks ?
Short and stiff fins good for 3-4 tanks ?

Are the Deep 6 Eddy’s better than the Apeks AR3 ?

very much so. Much more comfortable and a lot more thrust. I was not impressed with the Apeks fins at all

I guess it will be the Deep 6 Eddys for me then, if they are good for Tech and wreck diving. Are those the fins you recomend to your Tech students ?
I am learning a lot from SB.

They're the ones that I personally dive, but I'm extremely leg heavy in general.. The only time I do not recommend them is in general for women diving doubles in a drysuit. Women tend to be foot light in general and the heavy fins from Scubapro or Hollis tend to work better for them. Deep6 is currently waiting on heavy samples that I've got first dibs on, but with all of the shipping delays and disruptions it may be a hot minute before they come out.

I wear the Eddys for my diving - cave/mine (baby cave diver), wreck, and everything else. I’m SM. They work well with 2 x LP85 and a deco bottle. They even propelled me fine with an AL80 stage added to the 85s for a quarry dive.

also work fine with LP120 doubles, a stage bottle, 2 deco bottles, a sidemounted breather, and a tow scooter.... Way more thrust than a Jetfin. About the only thing I've dove that is comparable is the Hollis F1 but that is a very heavy fin and their light weight one I didn't find as stiff. The Dive Rite XT's can move you around pretty well but they require a different kicking technique because they're so long. You kick up silt devils if you aren't careful from the tips snapping back. They also don't make a foot pocket big enough for me so I can't use them outside of a pool where I'm in gym socks.

Hollis F2s are lightweight and still give decent propulsion.
