I used to get a kick out of ordering camera gear over the phone from them and B&H. Growing up in Michigan, just the NY accents were fun to listen to. They were great to deal with, although they had no time to shoot the breeze with you. Tell them what you needed, provide your info, and get out of their way! When I was there with our USAR team following 9/11, I took my first NYC taxi ride over to B&H for a visit.

Google scuba gear, scuba sounds like a link to click “ leisure pro” sounds like a place you would order baggy pants.
Your English was a wee bit confusing in that post. Still is…😏

I’m thinking like a diver. Still don’t understand this ^^
Think like someone who has no idea of what sites are out for buying scuba gear, if a search contains the word “scuba” and another contains “leisure” …

Aha. OK. I just call them Scuba Mecca.

I haven't read all the responses so this may have already been asked. I wonder if they'll have the leisurepro website redirect to scuba.com for the next year. If I hadn't read this here I sure wouldn't know it was happening.

Adorama bought SCUBA.com. It's a merger of LP and SCUBA.com. Adorama (parent company) owns both.
When we get boxes from Adorama I always think 'what a strange name for a dive gear company'.

Adorama, the camera store, operated LeisurePro and bought Scuba.com a few years back (years back as in 2019). They have offered exactly the same stuff, marketed the same way, at the same prices for at least the past year. Just maintaining two websites for the same store. Or so it has always seemed to me.
