Do these 2 Google Earth klms accurately depict the shore dive locations around Dania Beach?

Also, is there a better way to get gear to the dive site than strap on and walk? Any kind of cart good in the sand and safe from theft while diving? This is not as much of a concern with the close parking at Dania, but other sites don't seem to have near-by parking.

Hiya Brian .... the south end of Dania Beach you will park as close to the south end as possible and go will enter the water in front of the White condos as we divers are not allowed to enter the water when a life guard is present (we can exit anywhere) so we must enter on "Private Beach" area.
Eurojacks are a long hike. you will park on the extreme NW corner Dania Beach and hike a couple hundred yards to the entry place.
We will be at Dania Saturday at 9am South end and be happy to show you the ropes ;)
Here is the thread :)

I really want to night dive :(
Wednesday Night
East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Scattered showers through the night. Isolated thunderstorms after midnight.
Thursday Night
East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 feet or less near shore and up to 2 to 4 feet in the Gulf Stream. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop. Isolated showers.

Have a look at this ;) Click it

Has anyone ever gone diving on the North side of Commercial Blvd?
Where are the Hall of fame buoys?

I have been looking at apartments in the area :)

Did I hear someone say something about the Hall of Fame buoys? :D

There isn't much on the North side of the pier other than the HoF buoys. They are out past the 2nd reef buoys and just North of the Pier. It's between the 2nd and 3rd reefs. There's about 5 buoys there so you can see where you're going from the beach. It's a 35 to 60 minute swim depending on your speed.

I usually go out from Datura to the 2nd reef and swim North and then turn East and swim out the the HoF buoys. It's about the best spot easily accessible from the beach, though the 2nd reef South of Atlantic is nice too. I took Showboat out there last Summer. He seemed enjoy it.

I might be going out there this weekend. I could show you around...

ok ;) when are you going?

That's a good question... I usually go Saturday or Sunday morning and shoot for getting in the water NLT 9 AM. Any later and parking starts to become a problem, especially if the weather's good.

Let's plan on Saturday, but wait until closer to the weekend to see what the seas are doing before confirming.
