I had a pleasant dive this morning with Sea XP off Fort Lauderdale. The boat is a large flat stable pontoon vessel that probably holds upwards of 2 dozen divers comfortably but today there were about half that many with plenty of room to spread out.
We dropped on the Tracy which is large and intact with the main deck at about 60 feet. I was first in, diving solo and was greeted by a Goliath grouper, a slightly smaller one, and a healthy amount of fish. After touring the Tracy I followed the rebar trail off the bow with the help of a mild North current, checked out the somewhat intact Merci Jesus then worked against the current, back to the stern of the Tracy. Working against the current which picked up to maybe 3/4 knot I followed the tires and rebar trail South to take a peek at the Jay Scutti then let the current sweep me back to the mooring line near the bow of the Tracy.
A nice 3 wreck trek with good opportunity to practice compass navigation given the distance between the wrecks. Stay higher when swimming between wrecks to conserve gas.
