A Great Egret. Nice shot.

Yeah, us locals have been jonsing for a dive. I finally got a dive in today. Been 18 very long days since my last dive. Probably my only dive for the foreseeable future.

Where did you dive Sunday? The waves were so high! Or is that my Gulf Coast perspective?
AQUI dive center is by appointment only? Is that always or just when diving isn't on? Went by when I got to LBTS this weekend.

I dived at the bridge, BHB, an hour north of LBTS. It is a more protected area on the intracoastal. But it's best to dive on the high slack tide. Tide charts can be found here:

And yes, the waves were very high on the ocean. Saturday I heard of a couple divers ventured out off the beach. I imagine they got pretty beat up.

Thanks! I have dived at BHB a lot. It is great! Was looking for a relaxed stroll out and dive from the hotel experience, maybe next time!

Surf conditions look brutal next week. Conditions have been pretty awful since Hurricane Milton. Strong east winds forecasted through at least next weekend. You will want to have alternative plans lined up for stuff to do because diving looks highly unlikely all along the SE coast of FL.

5-10’ seas all week.

What is the website/weather service you use to get this report? I dive in SE Florida and could really use this. Thanks.

Pretty sure the Pompano Beach pier cam is the closest underwater camera to LBTS for visibility checks. Take a look and you'll see more of what folks are talking about for current conditions, vis is almost non-existent right now.

Lance

Zowwie! This very minute it looks like the inside of a blender.

Topside too...
