They had 20-25ft of vis on the Hutton and 15-20ft on the Indra today. Should get better as the week progresses.

Well...not going to hit the 200 mark this weekend. This damn low pressure system is parked over Morehead City and won't budge. Managed to get one dive in on the Indra with 20 ft of viz. Interesting dive it was, though. Lets just say that my dive buddy and I had to play baby sitter. Some folks need to become proficient at diving before adding a 40 ft3 pony and a GoPro camera to their mask. On the bright side, I was diving and that is always a great thing! Hoping to get in two tomorrow with Discovery.

I heard Terry say it went from 4' to 6' pretty quick today. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.

Does anyone have any idea how the weather is looking for Wednesday- Friday in that area? I've got a backup spot on the Hyde/ Markham with Aquatic Safaris, though if they don't call me to let me know spots open up, I was going to book with Discovery Dive Co for Thursday.

I was kinda hoping for the stereotypical "calm after the storm" but that is more based on desire than evidence, I fear.

I have lived in NC for most of my life and I have never seen a wetter or stormier summer. Love it for the yard but hate it for the diving! Good luck to all of you with plans next week.

i grew up here and agree

talked with bobby (olympus owner) yesterday.
He said seas were 9 ft and they would not be running for at least a few days.

I took our boat out today and offshore looked nasty.
