so i had a scare. my flights have changed at my end. im now flying out of austin. and i was wondering.

do they let you drop you bags and do curbside check in then park ? or am i going to have to park and drag 2 bags that need to be checked with me after i park to a bag check area. last two times i was on a plain i was dropped off this time because my flights are changing i am going to end up parking.

thanks any insight is most helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions of Austin-Bergstrom

Question: What is the process for checking and screening checked baggage?
Answer: Luggage may be checked at the ticket counter or at curb side and left with the airlines representative. Checked bags are screened by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and may be opened. Passengers are asked not to lock their luggage. Cable or zip ties are recommended for securing luggage. Any luggage opened by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screeners will be resealed and a notice of inspection placed inside the luggage.

Verify with your airline with a simple phone call.

I think that curb side luggage check works fine for domestic, but differently for international. The porter will probably hold your bags until you get parked & back, then escort you to counter check in. Or so it has worked for me in past years.

I use a parking lot with shuttle that drops me at the door, and I bet you can find one.
