Ed 4, John and I dove DT after our check out dives. Vis 15 feet, temp at surface was 80 and at 38 feet temp was 68. There was a very noticeable drop at 28 feet.
Don’t think I’ll dive that location to often, but saw a lot of fish. The White Crappie where up at 15 feet. Saw several large ones. Saw something very cool for the first time. As I came over a rock, I saw a 4 lbs bass posed like a cat ready to pounce. I couldn’t tell what he was doing and thought he was acting like that because of me. He all of a sudden struck below the rock where I couldn’t see just under my chin. He came up with a small channel catfish in his mouth. The cats head just sticking out of his mouth. The big bass then slowly swam off into the gloom. Very cool to see that live in action.
It was not crowded and only one jet ski went over head.

Congratulations to the Eds. I'm looking forward to taking my rescue cert around or after labor day weekend.
Cool stuff seeing that big bass feed on the catfish.
