We can get a 20', 25', or 30' pontoon/party boat. I want to say Robert gets about 8 on his boat, The Giant Stride. Once we have a better count we can figure out what size boat to get. I reserved a 25 footer for no other reason than it was the mid-sized option.
LTS 26 foot 8 divers, 16 tanks. ]

Everyone is welcome to join us, any newly certified divers this summer who want to have fun, I will be happy to lead this group as a professional PADI divemaster in Rec no-deco limits for any diver. Contact me directly at shawntv@austin.rr.com

So do not hesitate to join the group because you have not been boat diving, or don't have a lot of dives under your belt.

This adventure at a new location is what diving is all about.

Hope you consider coming along with the group.

:D

I just reserved a 25' Party Barge from Brady Mtn Resort, which is at the end of the lake we'll be diving. The costs are: $145/half day; $190/full day; $275/24 hours. That's about $70 each so far for the boat, plus gas which we won't be using much of I don't think. The more people who sign up the less the cost of the boat to each person, so come on y'all take the big step and commit!!! LOL!

Since ya'll plan on getting the boat at Brady, why not camp there, their site says:

Brady Mountain - 72 campsites
Location:13 miles west of Hot Springs on Highway 270W, then 6.1 miles north on Brady Mountain Road.
Campsite description: Concrete table, ground grill, pedestal grill, lantern post, shade
Amenities: Flush toilets, potable water, showers, boat ramp (2), playground, hiking trail, pavilion,
amphitheater, trailer dump station, swim beach (2), fish cleaning station, handicap accessible site (# 59).
Nearby facilities: Picnic area, full service marina, restaurant, lodge, cabins, horseback riding, miniature
golf, scuba shop, pay phones, boat rental, ATV trail.

Frank and I have pretty much decided we would pull my little boat up and get some quality time in with our buds from Central TX. So we will have North East TX represented!

That sounds like a good spot to me! I'm not sure if K-Valve already has a camping spot reserved or not, I guess I should work on that since he may not be camping! :D

I'm camping, Syd decided she's going to stay home and let the boys play. I'm not reserving a camping spot. It's the off season for them. That weekend is also opening day for deer season so o don't anticipate a crowd. Those AR boys live for deer season...even put us to shame.

Giant Stride is 30' Suntrakker with the customized dive benches. Max divers is eight but I have had nine including the dive master, each diver using two tanks. Hope this helps in your planning.

What you think about campin' at Brady Resort? That's closer to the central sites and not but a bit further to Crawdad and the dam. Frank and I will be roughin' it in a cabin called the firehouse :D at Brandy Mountain since everything was rented or under remodel at State Park. We're planning on getting there before noon and doing some exploring Friday afternoon. IF my cell works, can you PM me some phone numbers to get hold of you guys? I'm sure the cabin will have a phone. Elsewise, we'd have to meet ya at the Firehouse, or Brady Marina.

Alrighty. I will bring my stuff and some cash then! :D

K-Valve, what are the plans for food? Just run to town or bring stuff to eat at camp? I'm good with either, just like to plan for it. :)
