I also grew up on the cliffs of lake Mich.. The water level was a lot higher! It was not nearly as clear, there were a few good days but not like it is now. It gets worse, I guess the Zebras are rapidly being over run by another crustation. The Zebras were in relatively shallow water only, the new one runs the over the complete lake bottom, no mater the depth or temp.. I was shallow water diving this past weekend, it was like being in a large fish tank! The little Gobi's are doing well, I saw only 1 perch hiding among the rocks. Some small trout also - I had only 1 large brown trout approach me - years ago there was no problem finding Large fish in the shallows.
