Jocassee was only 10 feet bellow full pool this past Sunday. Temps were still a little cool, but not enough to keep away the Memorial Day weekend divers.
I hope the weather will be nice this weekend. I will be finishing the last of my deep, night and navigational certification dives, then only a few more until my official advanced cert.

Sorry. Somethimes the link takes me to the first post of the thread and not the most recent. It made me read this post from 2009 an itconfused me :(

That makes sense. No wonder my status did not make sense.

Does anyone know the current condtions at the ramps and forrest?

I have herd from a couple different source's that the temps at 127' is 49* and and at 106' is in the mid 50's* to upper 50's* . The edge of the forest is at 106' viz is really good 30'+ . And the cemetery is at 118' with viz being the best they have seen for a long time.

Thanks, based on the depths you stated I'm assuming the water is still way down?
Yes it has staid down . About four months ago me and tony did a dive @the wall . and they were pumping water back in to the lake . Made for some good current, you could see the water boiling over by the bumps/gates. but we are still setting and the same level all year .

Monday the temp. @ 97' in the edge of the forest to the left of the ramp was 52 degrees. Wished I had worn the hood.

Nice! that is shorty-diving conditions :D

The visibility was great below 85' with the light turned off. It's really beautiful when it opens up like that under the sunlit algae "sky."
