Lahad Datu - Sempora transport

Hope some of you guys can help out. I am going to Kapalai i July but will need transport from Lahad Datu to Sempora in the afternoon, so that I can be in Sempora overnight and catch the first boat out in the morning.

I have read various versions of possibilities by bus / taxi but would like the latest update if possible.

We will be 5 in the group - will it be possible by taxi ( price ? ) or are there bus services at this time of day ?

I did this in September. Hired a taxi. It was about a hundred bucks US, but split 5 ways or less you're home free. Much more comfortable and much faster than even the "express" bus. Just make sure you:
1) Get a vehicle that's big enough for your gear as well as all of you.
2) Get one with a/c
3) If you can arrange two days or more from Lahad, try to get into the Danum Valley Rainforest Resort...the experience will match or exceed anything else you do on your trip.

Thank you for info thranx. Actually we are on our way from Tabin Wildlife Resort - Welcome! , which can be compared to Danum but a little cheaper. Looking forward to it.
