I'll second the Outlander series, some of the best books I've ever read. I'm also a huge Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb fan. Which I read depends on my mood at the time....heaving breasts or detective mystery?

LOL Dee!
OK I can't wait until the library opens tomorrow. The Native American story also appeals to me.

Hi Natasha,

I think you'll enjoy reading The Star Shine Down as much.

Pauline:
5th book is good! Can't wait for number 6!
But I didn't know there was a movie????

Hi Pauline.

The movie is several years old and starred Darryl Hannah.

I admit it. I have been out of the book loop. I would like to read a romantic novel that isn't goofy, is a bit spicy, yet has some sense to it so it will keep my interest.

I'm usually a non fiction reader..so it has to be good to keep my interest and be fiction.

Any ideas? I'm going to bring it on the plane for Cozumel Saturday.

Waldenbooks.com- amazon.com/
b&n.com=Barnes&Nobel,Romantic Novel (or special interest). You should get a list of their latest copies as well as best sellers.

They have movies on the plane too.. Have fun!

I have to recomend the DaVinci Code by Dan Brown. I read it and gave 6 copies to my friends. What a read!!!!!!! Intrigue, romance, and makes you think. His other book Angles & Demons was great too.

I love this thread. I have a ton of reading to do. I really want to read all of these recommendations!

Another favorite couple of authors of mine are Carl Hiaasen - he writes fun vacation type reading or Anne Rice. Talk about as different as you can get writing style wise.

Try "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers. It's got romance, suspense, a great story line, and when you finish, you feel like a better person. What more could you ask?

Another great read: "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt. I bought this book at an airport, and it didn't sound that interesting, so it lay on my shelf for at least a year. Finally I picked it up, and couldn't put it down. I felt like crying when it was finished; it was so good I didn't want it to end.

It's not a romance, but even for those of us who love romances, it's an incredible book!

Enjoy your vacation!

Hi other Pauline!

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out!
