Terry is right most of the quality dives @ the shores are around 60'.

I think he meant the quality diving starts at 60feet, not that its AT 60ft. You can have good dives with max depth of 70ft, or you can go to 80, 90, 100, or 150, depending on where you want to go. I've seen lots of great stuff on the way back in ot shore, at 50ft, 40ft , 30ft, etc (large halibut, angel sharks, etc.). I'd say most people dive air, and most people make it a nice long multi-level dive.

thanks for the clarification ...that was my intent as well. Have seen some wonderful things in the flats leading up to the canyon ....two healthy bugs come to mind hidding in a cinder block earlier this year 20' ... as well as the first time I dove the north wall dropping in right on top of a guitar fish 50'....beautiful.
