Hello all, my name is James.

Recently OWC in San Diego, looking to get my post count up so I can list an extra OMS wing(65lb lift doubles:wink:) I got when buying a BP/W setup from a local diver.

I went on a discover diving experience in Carins AUS at the Great Barrier Reef in February and decided to use that momentum once I got home to get certified. Working on dives at La Jolla Shores with my classmates to get myself comfortable here so that when I do dive on vacation I'll be able to enjoy the sights and not be too concerned with my fundamentals.

So far I haven't been freezing which is great! Water temps at 55ft have been around 52 degrees and my fingers do start to go cold but it hasn't been horrific. Looking to get in plenty of dives before taking AOW at the end of May.

James, welcome to the San Diego dive community -- if you are looking for a good local group of divers check out Power Scuba. They are a great group of folks who do regular shore dives at La Jolla Shores.

Also, you might want to keep that wing, you are going to be in doubles and a drysuit in no time!

See you out there!

I may have already gotten a drysuit from someone here on the forum....

Just waiting for an instructor friend to have a free evening in the pool to get certified to use it!

I am thinking about going sidemount as opposed to back mounted doubles as well. The wing looks pretty tired in person.
