Knowing what you know now, if you could go back in time and talk to yourself during the first month of your diving career, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

We of course can't go back in time, but I wonder if you could, what bit of advice, encouragement, or warning would you share with yourself?

"You idiot, you're regulator is behind you... just reach back and grab it! No, NO! Aghhh... if you get an embolism i'm gonna be pissed!"

"Set down the pretty Poseidon, and go have a look at the Zeagle"

I've posted the information that I wish I had as a new diver all over this site in the last few years.

"No rush... all the skills you are after will come in due time"

First, I would have learned to dive MUCH sooner in my life!
Next would be to buy quality gear the first time.
Fianally, learn to dive dry right away (though I still haven't!)

Nothing really. Maybe "spend less money on non-important things and spend it on more diving trips/gear".

Cheers.

That is too funny! That reminds me of the bug zapper scene in the movie A Bug's Life---look away from the light--don't look at the light! ZAAPPPPP!!!

Yeah, I should have gotten certified instead of getting married the first time....

Buying that Poseidon was definetly my dumbest diving move, since I dove it for a year then ebay'd it and bought a Zeagle.
