I tried to search for this question on the board but couldn't find it. Sorry if it's a repeat. What's the conversion from knots to km/h (ie. a 2-4 knot current = __ - ___ km/h)? Thanks:)

I find that it is easier to judge current speed using the fact that 1kt = 1.67 feet/sec or 6 sec for 10'.

In metric units 1kt is very close to 1/2 meter/sec. (this is the same as rounding off 1kt to 1.8km/hour)
