Knee pads; elbow pads?

Knee pads come in useful but i cant see the need for elbow pads at all really

She's going to do OW, so I'd say buoyancy control is novice. OTOH, where we're going (for now), bottoms are sandy.

She will do a lot of kneeling underwater on the bottom in the OW1 class. After certification, however, hopefully your instructor will have taught her and you to stay at least 3 feet away from the bottom at all times.

Knee pads are great for rental suits, since students are using them and kneeling in them all the time.

But for most divers, unless they are photographers who kneel a lot on rocks and ocean floor, knee pads seem unnecessary.
