Yep, snorkeling is possible off the Bahia Honda beaches. Not terribly much to see though, but a fun diversion.

Snorkeling and shore diving is ok there. Believe it or not the spearfishing is great too if you can get past the schools of 30+ bull sharks.

I haven't been to there myself yet, but I saw that advertised during a few episodes of ScubaNation streaming online.

Just watch out for the pelicans at Robbies they can get aggressive. My wife who normally would never do anything like that had a ball feeding the tarpon, even if she had to wrestle her sunglasses away from one of the pelicans.

I leave the keys August 7th so I won't be around for the fest, would've liked to have taken part though

Last time we were there, they had a tender at the end of the dock with a long pole with foam on the end doing his best to try to keep the pelicans away.
