Hey guys I will be going to the keys fore some diving from August 1 to the 7th
I'm looking for suggestions/opinions on the dive ops we will be using as well as local eating spots recommendations. Feel free to give advice on just one or multiple things.
Here is the itinerary:
Keys west: no dive op, looking to rent a boat and dive local spots
Looe key: diving with inner space divers
Marathon: diving with dive duck key
Islamorada: diving with seamonkeys
Key largo: diving with blue water divers

All the dives are AM dives so we can drive and visit local attractions in the afternoon (open to suggestion on attractions to visit)
We are both open water divers so can't do deep dives
We have our own equipment except tanks

Thank you all for your help, I look forward to reading the suggestions and opinions

We just came back from Key Largo. There are so many good restaurants in the Keys! Our favorite in Key Largo is a local hang-out called "Mrs. Macs" - GREAT burgers and lots of good seafood too. The decor is "special" :D

Eat lunch and feed the tarpon at Robbies. Breakfast at Harrietts in Key Largo, large, filling and tasty! See the Intl. diving museum, spend a day at Bahia Honda state park. Way too much to see and do down that way.

Key Largo Conch resturant is really good. Conch chowder is outstanding. Agree with the recommendation for Mrs. Macs.

I like Blue Water Divers. They run a shallow boat and a deep boat. They have a very nice operation. There are many good operators there and it would be hard to go wrong.

I just got back from Key Largo today, the diving was great, waves 1-2 ft, good vis. The current was a little strong on some sites, but not terrible.

Sounds like you have a nice trip planned.

For Key Largo, found Key Largo Fisheries last visit, incredible food, recommend the lobster BLT. Their KL Pie was the bomb too, brought home three whole pies. Key Largo Fisheries Backyard: Take Away Cafe, Key Largo - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

Also, Category Three Bar & Grill, stuffed burgers. Pulled pork stuffed burger.....ungawa! Category 3 Bar and Grill - Key Largo | Urbanspoon

Marathon, for an outing I would highly suggest Pigeon Key, it's cheap, it's a beautiful place with great photo ops, and you learn some history. Home

Keys Fisheries in Marathon is great food too: Keys Fisheries Market & Marina | Homepage | Fresh Florida Keys Seafood

Key West, B.O's Fish Wagon is a must: B O's Fish Wagon - Key West, FL

Can't comment on the dive ops personally, as I have not used any of the ones you have listed.

I like eating at Mile Marker 88 restaurant on Islamorada (which is, not surprisingly, located a MM 88). If you can sit out side in one of the swings or just an outside table and watch the sun set over the bay, you'll not be disappointed. The fish is good (any blackened fish is good to my taste though) and the asian green beans are killer good, but the atmosphere is the best (if you sit outside).

If you're into museums, check out the History of Diving Museum on Islamorada and Mel Fischer's museum in Key West. Both are enjoyable 90 minute diversions.

Make sure you watch the sun set over Mallory Square while in Key West: the square has a fun party-like atmosphere with jugglers, street performers, etc. There are more than a few drunks too, but most are pretty well behaved.

Duvall Street has lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Stop by the Adam and Eve bar (ha ha ha)

I'm not familiar with any of the dive ops your using: I usually use Conch Republic in Key Largo/Islamorada. If you decide on a relatively low cost option in Key West, Cap't Corner is a decent operator.

Thank you all for the suggestions.
Anyone knows if I can snorkel at Bahia Honda? Or anywhere in particular?

Yep, snorkeling is possible off the Bahia Honda beaches. Not terribly much to see though, but a fun diversion.
