Oh no, not THIS again. So, when the one terminal in the area can no longer meet the demand, who finally gets stuck with it? ;)

And btw, John Kerry on the side of the little guy and the environment? Bahahahaha!!!! Ever notice that John Kerry preaches being green out of one side of his mouth while at the same time saying 'fill it up' to one of "the family" SUV's or his "wife's" gas sucking Gulfstream V private jet out the other side of his mouth, from the comfort of one of Therasa's mansions? Yeah, he's all about the little guy.

Hey, and while we're at it, I wonder if, since he's all against the tax cuts for the wealthy, he paid his taxes at the voluntary higher tax rate? You know, leading by example and all that. Bahahahahahaha!!!!

Omg, that was just too funny. Oh wait, a bunch of people actually believed him when he said that stuff. Bahahahaha!!!! That's even funnier.
I'm at a loss for words :D

jchaplain:
Ya know, dragging this into politics isn't the right thing to do here.

Please keep it on topic. If it's about support of the LNG facility, thats one thing. please don't use it as your opportunity to start political howling, ranting and raving.

Ditto.

First off, this whole thing is NOTHING BUT POLITICAL. Everybody wants cheap heat and electricity for their home and businesses. But when the infrastructure is no longer adaquate to support current and future demands and a new facility needs to be built it's, 'not in my back yard' and nobody is willing to give up a single thing. So far the only proposal that has actually made any sense at all IS putting it someplace like Outer Brewster. It's the only site so far that has proximity to a NG mainline making the project fiancially viable. It puts a minimum of 1.5 miles between it and the nearest population. And it is directly accessable from an existing deep-water channel which will prevent additional disruption to commercial shipping traffic in the inner harbor.

With all that going for it in terms of logistics, engineering, cost, and safety Outer Brewster is a logical choice. However, a fairly small but vocal percentage of the population has placed maintaining this uninhabited, and relatively unvisited, rock as a park over the basic needs of an entire section of the country. That makes this political.

Second, the topic title was "Kerry's Support for LGN......" like it was some kind of surprise because he's "Mr. Environment" when he speaks, but all of a sudden he get campaign money from someone connected to the LNG project and so now he supports it. What I said was no political rant, it was merely a statement of facts that support the conclusion that John Kerry is interested in one thing and one thing only, John Kerry. Anybody that actually pays attention to what he says and does is not the least bit surprised. I merely find it amusing the number of people that are caught by surprise after they believe the guy is on their side and vote for him only to find out otherwise later. But then that's politicians for you.

knowing kerry he changed his mind already

Doc Intrepid:
I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

What is the Democratic Party coming to?

:D

Really. I'm so relieved there are no self dealing, corrupt politicians in the Republican Party.:D

If Kerry piloted the Exxon Valdez into Outer Brewster Island I would still think he was 100% better than Bush or anyone else in the current Congressional majority.

But hey - we're not talking politics here right? ;)

Just wait he will change his mind he always does right ?

Fair warning folks ... if you can discuss the topic without Democrat/Republican bashing, this thread will remain open.

If you can't, it won't.

For now, I won't edit out comments that are clear ToS violations ... you all are smart enough to know where the line is. Let's not cross it again, shall we?
