Hi Guys,

New to this 'region' of scubaboard, and wet behind the ears in terms of tech diving.

Hoping to get certified 2008...

My plan was to purchase bits of gear here and there, backplate 1 month, 2nd stage another, sort of thing, so say in 12-18mths I have my full (or rather required) 'tech setup' for my tech deep course, and also hopefully some more tech'ish type dives along the way - when I get the time!

Anyway today I was talking to one of my tech friends, (he is moving to another country) and I asked if he had a 1st and 2nd stageto sell. "Sorry, I've got no spare kit to sell, but I would be willing to break my twinset I'm selling.." "Your selling your twinset!?", "Yeap" "How much?" (Richard dreaming at this point) "For you Rich, $400" :11: :11: :11: Well, you can see I had a hard time deciding.....

I think I've lopped off at least 12mths of my equipment purchases!

So for only $400 I'm now the proud owner of a twinset:

comprising of

1x Diverite Superone Wing
1x Diverite SS Backplate
1x Harness (not sure brand)
1x Scubapro r180 reg
1x Scubapro r340 reg
(configured with one long hose)
1x Uwatec SPG
2x Poseidon Cyklon 1st Stages
2x 12ltr Steel cylinders with bands and manifolds (hydro'd only 2mths ago)

He is going to give it all a full service for me - I appreicate its second hand, and the the regs have been well used, but I think I got a good deal!

Next weekend Rich will be testing his new gear in confined water - hehehe :eyebrow:

Dam thats a good deal for your frist set up lose the boots and call it a day my friend

Keep the boots but lose the tank webbing and handles. :D

Hey Rich great deal on that setup! Those OMS style tank boots are fine, I agree with the other guys with regards to the tank webbing and the handles. First time I ever seen tank webbing on doubles.

well if we are all advising:

Loose boots, handles, webbing and cut/thread the bolts as close as you can to the bands.... first time I have seen a set of bolts that long....

PS: looks like the manifold/ valves are in need of a clean???? Just a thought given the picture

have fun..:-)

I'm not thrilled with that 100# lift wing either.
