That’s likely a generalization of the location. He became lost at the Bonaire, 4 miles ENE of the inlet. Very sad and unfortunate situation.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. My heart goes out to the family of the diver and to the Kyalami crew and customers who experienced this unfortunate incident.

Does anyone know if it was Kyalami that eventually found the unresponsive diver on the surface or was it another boat?

That or they mean "recovered" as in "the boat that found him brought him back into Jupiter Inlet and the authorities took over from there."

He wasn’t found in the inlet. The article and USCG tweets are generalizing the location. The diver was dropped on the Jupiter Wreck Trek with other divers on the boat. The wreck trek is adjacent to the inlet, though approximately 4.5 miles offshore. It’s unknown what happened and who last saw him, but he did not ascend with the dive group and was deemed “missing” 50-60 minutes after his descent. After an exhaustive search, my reliable source says he was found about 800 feet off the wreck trek (not sure what direction). He was NOT found in the inlet.

I have no details on what happened between his descent and when he was found nor can I guarantee the factual accuracy of anything above. This is all second hand from “my source”.
