If you're diving Jupiter in May or June when it's turtle season it's always worth taking a quick 15 minute walk on the beach before you go to your dive boat. Just to see the different types of turtle tracks as they in crawl out of the water. The narrow green turtles, midsize loggerheads or the WTF wide-load leatherback sand tracks coming up to bury their eggs.
Jumped on ScubaWorks boat DivOcean with Captain Jeff, DM Darrell and Andre on deck. Went south of the inlet and dove right on the sharp edge of the summer Gulf stream. Inside the stream was a fast 3 knot current and 80° temps. Outside of the stream it was barely 1 knot current and temps dropped 5°. On the same dive while zigzagging you could swim inside and outside of the stream and feel it. Almost top to bottom visibility, but a lot of weeds flying by in the fast current. I grabbed six lions. But Andre shot a 20 inch hog on a bounce dive in less time than it takes people to get their hair wet in a shower.
