Hey Polly. Did you and your former student end up at BS or did you go elsewhere? I went up to Haigh for 2 days and dove with Dean (Sun) and Robb (Mon). Robb and I decided that you need to teach us both how to navigate. I also noticed that Robb has this funny habit of wanting to throw a bowling ball at me ... over and over and over again! He can be so mean! :D

Yeah I went to BS. Not too crowded in the am, and by around 3pm we were the only ones there. Got in 3 nice dives.

I think I'm free this Saturday, not sure where I might run off to.

I think Tony was at Haigh this weekend. Did you see him?

Yup, I was able to meet Tony briefly on Sunday. Didn't get a chance to dive with him as I was already diving with Dean and two folks Dean had met up with from his local Chicago group. I also met O'Malley, ppo2_diver and 1-2 others but I can't recall their names. Very impressive group of folks up there in the Chicago area, Dean and Robb included.

I will probably be at BS Saturday. I still have 2 dives to complete for my AOW and my instructor has an OW group there Sat/Sun. She was hoping to be able to fit in my final 2 dives while she's there. We'll see.

Is she doing your deep dive there? ;)

I only hit about 51 feet yesterday.

Already did that one back on 6/25. Yup. A deep dive of 48'. Wow ... I feel like such a better, safer, more qualified diver now! ;) My experience with this shop and instructor have been very disappointing.

I still have to do my navigation and wreck dives and then I'm done with this shop. All of my future training will involve a much more rigorous selection process when lining up an instructor. I've learned the hard way the importance of doing your homework.
