That's an interesting comment. From your point of view do you see that as the industry is lagging behind or meeting the demands of the consumer?
I was certified in 1990 or 91. There were many more dive shops then than now at least in Orlando. There were billboards and ads on the radio for scuba diving. There was no internet at all, the dive shop was the main point of contact with the diver. You had a few mail order places like Barry Scuba and Performance Diver and that was about it for competition. The late 80s and early 90s may have been the "high point" of scuba.
