jelly fish/sting question???

Also, be careful that you don't touch your exposed skin before rinsing off after the dive.
 
I think it sounds like sea lice, a larval form of thimble jellyfish. Try out Bendryl spray and hydrocortisone to alleviate the itching and help clear up the rash.

Sea Lice sounds like a pretty good theory. When I dove in the Keys last year I got stung in the face on two separate dives (same day, same site) with no Jellyfish present at all. Although I didn't have any lasting reaction to it, I could certainly feel it.

The dive operators told me that it was probably the remaining bits of a jelly that had been eaten, but this didn't really hold water with me, because on the second dive when I got stung, I backed up and looked very carefully for jelly parts but couldn't find even the tiniest tentacle.
