My daughter used to use a big old divers sword on her right hip, which was always fine, but has now managed to liberate my old Focus from me, so can do it the ‘proper’ way.

You might need a longer hose, if you're big and tall. If you want to tuck it.

I use shears.

Or if I'm stuck with easily offended people, I'll replace the shears with a terrifyingly huge knife.

Tighter waist belt.

Periodic downward tug on the loop.

Problem solved.

Mate I'll be exacerbating the problem for the rest of my life for something I will never use because I need 8 feet

everything pulls everything

Did you see this bit

use the long hose stick on the right hip... if it's still too long.. put a small knife infront.. a bit to the left of the crotch strap.

that way you loop the long hose stick on your right hip... then under the knife infront... before going over the neck. if it's still too long... you can install the long hose on the turret... and not the bottom. by installing on the turret it has to bend at a 90 degree angle. before going down.. shortening it by an inch.

moving the knife more to the left of the crotch strap also "shortens" it.

moving the stick back more to the back shortens it.. .forward lengthens it...
