Diver dies after Ċirkewwa swim

A 50-year-old Israeli diver died on Wednesday after finding himself in difficulties while swimming at Ċirkewwa.

The police said the diver was brought ashore by companions and given first aid until an ambulance arrived and took him to hospital.

He succumbed a short time after.

Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo is holding an inquiry. The police are investigating.
