Hi all! Few questions I was hoping to get some help with.

I'm planning a trip to Isle Royale on 8/20 - 24. I was there 15 or so years ago and I'm (finally) getting back.

It sounds like the dives aren't very guided. Can anyone point me towards some resources/maps/diagrams of the wrecks so that I can plan the diving a little better? I'd like to do some penetration, but I'd feel better if I knew what I was getting into rather than just exploring. We won't be doing the Kamloops, but anything on any of the other more intact wrecks would be most welcome. Also , can anyone point me at some video of the wrecks?

Any other advice/tips anyone has to offer would be appreciated. Peace!

The dives aren't guided. There's a book out, though it may be hard to find. My memory is that it's called "The Shipwrecks of Isle Royale" (or something like that) that goes into detail on the wrecks up there. I'd also cast about the web. I'm sure you could turn up more info. You'll love it there. Great diving. Unbelievable clarity (for fresh water). I'm looking into going back next year. Gotta' see the Emperor stern again!
