Leon made a hybrid kit for the v2.7 for quite a few years. I don't know if it would fit in the v15. Would depend on the solenoid carriage/mount. It was basically just an orifice immediately upstream of the solenoid and you'd use the existing CL mounted MAV

Is that somewhat related to the manual SW kit that is sold for $5K?

that is just a shearwater head to replace since the 2.x boards are not available anymore. The hybrid Meg was a weird thing in the head, it died for a reason and was never particularly popular.

Note that I'm aware of. Its literally just an orifice between the delrin lid and where the O2 flows into the solenoid. So instead of the solenoid blocking 100% of the O2 when its off, some dribbles around via a bypass. Leon thinks hybrids are "the worst of both" so I doubt it's still made but there might be some conversion kits on the back shelf he'd sell you

and if you are diving with an appropriate dil mix then you aren't adding O2 all that often anyway.

You do know that's not exactly how CCR's work, right?

of course! it was more about O2 addition to compensate for depth changes if you have a dil that isn't ridiculously lean. If you're actually at a stable depth then dil won't matter but that rarely happens.

Switch the ADV for something else, the original has 2 settings, leaky and impossible to breath from. I hated diving my pathfinder until i tried out my friends CL with a apkes reg for adv. It solved 90% of my buoyancy issues.

I felt like Tom Cloony batman until I switched to silicone loop hoses, it actually made looking left and right possible.

The original HUD is hard to see in sunny conditions, nerd was to distracting for me but my friend had a custom HUD with brighter lights and it made it actually useful.

Function properly in all conditions.
Sorry, I had to.
I’m interested in more details on the Apeks ADV….
