I'm a Fish!
Trying to find out if the St of Michigan is bouyed this year.

I've got GPS numbers and all, but tying into a bouy line is much nicer than dragging to bottom for half an hour trying to find it. Sometimes its all you can do, but ...

It was my first "big lake" dive several years ago. Nice relaxing dive - I know, for you techies and hard core wreckers its kind orf lame, but its very enjoyable for me.
Plus, I met someone that has been out of the water for more than 15 years and is back in the water. He has no big lake experience. I think it would be a good one for him.

If no one chimes in, sure they will, the dive shops have good info on it, as the charters do also.

you should be able to find out who is putting them out in the area your diving.

Good luck and be safe with the old diver.

The "State" is one of my local dives and I haven't heard of it being bouyed yet. A few weeks ago it wasn't. I will call the diver who bouyes it tomorrow. This time of year its likely to be 40* on the bottom so dress warm.
My gps numbers are good if you want to compare with yours, it shows up good on a fish finder.

I spoke to the diver that bouyes the State and he has not bouyed it due to lack of time. He told me a friend of his may have bouyed it and he will find out and call me.
