Did you actually look up the word, "sport," in a dictionary? In addition to what I posted as a definition earlier on this thread, here is info from a few other dictionaries:.... If you apply a strict dictionary definition then no, scuba is not a sport ......

Clearly, if diving is a diversion, pastime or recreation, it is a sport, according to the dictionaries.
Scuba is a mode of transportation, not a sport.
Like cycling.
