Is it okay to extent the shoulder straps on BCD?

I have a Scubapro Knighthawk that is a Medium and I really need a large - is there an issue with getting a cumber bun extender and sewing extensions on the shoulder straps to give them an extra couple of inches?

You can modify the BCD however you need to carry a laminated waterproof note signed by a physician and stating it was done for medical purposes and have it ready to show the PADI police if you get pulled over.

You will save a lot of money if you sell that one and buy one that fits.

Thanks, I think I'll sell and get a Large. It's in really good condition and I don't want to make it worthless by altering it...
