Many folks look at CCR cost wondering how much $ they'll lose if they don't like the CC route. Few ask a different question: How much are you going to spend if you learn to enjoy rebreathers. That will be a lot.
I caught the bug a few years ago and now I have two rebreathers, a ton of spare parts, endless number of tanks, many pre-filled with expensive bailout gases. Scooters? Multiple dry suits? Well, why the hell not.
And don't forget a new truck so that driving to Cave Country or other destinations is comfortable.
