I am gearing up for my next dive trip in late September.

Givens:
Size 10 US Men's is my normal shoe size.
I own some Deep See size 10 wet boots.
I own some Sunsoft Searays size 10s.
I own Slipstream XLs.

On my last trip, I wore the Deep Sea boots and the loose fit wore sores on my feet. The Searays just won't fit in the XLs. Maybe I could cut some sole off the bottoms or something?

Anyhow, I am looking for a wet boot that gives a nice snug fit XL slipstreams. I have data mined the past threads on Slipstreams but haven't really found a good consensus. Most people either say their boots are too tight one way or too loose another way.

...well, you REALLY need to buy a few pairs of dive socks...and no, I don't mean 'regular' socks that are meant for topside uses...there are genuine 'dive socks'...any competent dive shop will know what you're talking about if you try to order buy/order some....I've got several pairs.....Henderson makes some with a non-skid sole which are pretty neat...try Scubatoys...I'm gonna make a prediction here, if you buy some and start diving with them you will immediately refuse to go diving without them.....they are a 'mandatory' part of my dive kit and I will not get into the water without them!

I wear the dive socks under a 5 mill boot and are very comfortable with my slipstreams, mine are xxl but I wear size 14s. I love those fins.

mine are comfy. I think my boots are 5mm. they don't have real thick soles.

you might want to take the fins to a dive shop & start trying them with different boots until you find a pair that fits well.

I wear a 9.5 size shoe on land. I use 5mm Akona boots with XL Slipstreams and spring straps. Awesome fit!

I usually wear lycra dive socks under my dive boots. The Slipstreams are so rigid that a loose fit will cut your feet. It is not a simple friction issue.

Where are you being cut?

I wore my XL Slipstream for the first time this past weekend, and it digs into my foot where the ankel forms a 90 degree bent with my shin.

I wore a size 9 Deep See Safe Sole in 6.5mm. My shoes size is 9 and 10 in in New Balance sneakers. The XL Slipstream maybe a bit large. I'll matching it with a bootie that has a thicker sole. If that doesn't work, I'll wait until the release of size L.
