Hey all,

Just wanted to chip in that I had a blast too!! It was a good time all around - good food, good weather and great people. Looking forward to the next time.

Hoping to see some pics soon.

I did not log on last night.
Had a great time' though it looks like I left before it got REALY crazy. Just how many beers got dropped in there?

My trip to Gainsville (Lloyds) was a bust, I still don't know if/when I will ever see those tanks I ordered. I cannot get a straight answer out of those guys no matter what I do.

Anyway, thanks to Wendy for putting this together & to NetDoc for the inpromto class.

Lets have some of those Pic's....

my good side! :tease:

As for doubles... I had no issues with them going down into the ear. I got all the way down into the initial cavern, but since I am not trained, I did not go any further (stayed within natural light). I think only I and ABQ diver made it down that far. Coming out was a different story. I heard my ascent alarm go off before I even had a chance to grab the side. I vented my bladder (not that one) and was still being pushed right out.

Next time we might want to cover "kicks" :tease: and get you guys away from the flutter when in tight or shallow spaces.

Peter... you shouldn't call Wendy a "drunken fool"... she wasn't quite drunk yet! :tease: Anyway, I think it was that Columbian oxygen!

So, Wendy, are you going to update your profile picture with the nice new one Dr. Jay provided.

btw, is Corona DIR approved?:D

I had a great time too. We had 10 scubaboarders there! Hopefully we can get as many when we dive Blue Heron Bridge.

Has a date been set for that one yet?

You know, Wendy... I want so badly to make fun of your vertical posture in the picture, but I can't see past your beer.

Poser!

Real divers know that you can't drink beer in the horizontal position underwater. Jeez! :D

No date set you. I know some fokls wil lbe at wreckmania soon so I'll give it some time, besides i need to recover from this dive still. I'll check the tide shedule in at work and think of a god time for later this summer.

Guys, thanks for making me feel welcome. Next time we go there, and I hope it is soon, we'll come back to my place for a grill-out. I'm sorry I didn't make the second dive. I didn't stay, as it was waaaaaaay too crazy there. No more holiday weekends at Ginnie for me. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting each of you, and I cannot wait for our next outing. NetDoc, thanks for buddying up with me. Please PM me your address so I can send you a check for the c-card. Wendy, thanks for enduring my questions. KBeck, thanks for giving me a thrill!!! (See the group photo...) Harley- GREAT burgers! Thanks for the weightbelt loan- next time I'll remember mine (D'oh!) ;-0 Look forward to scalloping soon (once the season opens, of course!)
Kurt:pirate:

Well, I think you guys have covered the dives, so all I have left is to say thanks to all for the crash pad and my own personal "Intro to Springs Diving 101" (Wendy), the tanks and class (Net Doc), the peppers and dinner (ABQDiver and family), HarleyBurgers on a paper towel (Harley diver....and the paper towels no thanks to me.... ) and everyone else.

I am most definitely kicking myself for chickening out the second dive (missed out on the fun stuff apparently). However, I did get prime opportunity to count the confederate flags while hanging out.....let's just say I lost count.....I definitely hope to have the chance again!

I'm off to get my film developed and will definitely post pics of Lance's "real" Scuba-"board". He he he.

Thanks to all!

Marc

*I* was taught in *my* DIR class that the *correct* way to drink your beer underwater was to remain horizontal, but roll onto your back... Then open your throat and drain said contents as completely as possible.

Of course, this all had to be done without sculling with your hands... Hence the new "roll" kick...

I was also taught to always have a spare beer for your buddy!

:D
