It's a dead horse, man, it's a dead horse.
Which I have heard can be a tasty treat, when prepared by a good chef

I would love to see a dead horse explode!
Actually, you probably wouldn't...I would love to see a dead horse explode!

Duh? Is that what you read from my statement...?
I wouldn't hold a grudge against any of the Axis soldiers who were doing their duties either, and certainly not their descendants.
The irony is that you don't appear to be aware of exactly how accurately you're demonstrating my point. As I said earlier ... welcome to the land of the terminally offended. It's not because of any negative connotations to the term invasion, it's because you went out of your way to make an inaccurate list that implies the US invaded all those counties.
The example I showed of Normandy (which you excluded) is a prime example of a positive connotation of the word invaded.
And when I said "I am more offended", if I took this on a scale of 1 to 10 with the ad being a 1, this would be a 2.
And while you can attempt to put blame solely on the person claiming offense, that is a weak argument for acting or saying inappropriate things. For example, if you use a derogatory word toward someone you can not excuse yourself and say "they chose to be offended".
