Thanks.
I guess from the posts and talking with a few people, my answer seems to be: for shorter rec dives you can use beaten up undies, like an old DUI400g or stack up several layers depending on the Temp (which is what i've done), and for planning longer deco dive, then you use a nice new xm450/santi/other-400g thinsulate that you maintain for this purpose as long as possible (until it becomes beaten up and move to the rec. use) with a inner layer adjusted to the temp (bodyzor, capilene, xeroterm, etc ..).
All makes sense, i guess common sense !
Thanks again.
Heated vest, CF200 and Argon would be if i have to find a job in the Bay area or Seattle - brr, no plan yet ;-)

- xm450 is about the max you can wear and still have a chance of reaching your valves
- you need synthetic wicking, not cotton underlayer (bodyzor is very good, or xerotherm)
- heating vest like BtS can be added to that
- socks also need to not be cotton
- 12mm otter bay hood can be used for the hood
- CF200 can be used instead of TLS/FLX if its really cold
- drygloves with canadian tire liners
- argon
