I was off work Monday so I went down to Beaufort and went out with Discovery on the Outrageous V. We did 2 dives on the Indra. Cold windy ride out so we stayed inside and relaxed until we got to the site. Depth was 71 feet and the temp was 73 degrees. The vis was about 25-30ft on the deck of the Indra, much worse at the bottom. There was a decent steady current and some surge. According to the captain, crab larva were everywhere. He was right, when you surfaced there would be little bitty crabs on you (not that kind;)). All this crab larva floating around brought in loads of bait fish, and of course the barracuda, cruising through the middle of the school of bait fish (food chain at work). It was a good day of diving. I'm going back on Sunday, 31 Oct for an afternoon trip. I'm sure there will be openings if anyone is interested.

Hi Jason,

I just saw this thread today. Just goes to show you I need to check out NC forum more. I might be interested in this trip. Got to check the funds though. I have a ton of stuff going on this month that is slowly depleting them but I'll see what I can do.
