Some X Dry,hellooo I know this is probably weird but Russell Van Horn was my son in law. I am desperately seeking information and justice in his name as well as for my daughter his wife and there child. If you have any info on what went on on his last day , we are looking for his personal effects, we were told that alot of looting occured as he lay there dying, makes me want to vomit. Specifically any thing including any info on his dive logs computer ect. We will make sure this kind of tragidy does not occur again, we love and miss him . We will have justice need to connect with the diving community to help in this effort. Any info would be greatly appreciated, for Russell, his wife, daughter, myself and his father who is heartbroken. Thank You for any info you can provide

Hi Looking. I am sorry for the loss of your son-in-law.

We discuss accidents on our Accidents & Incidents forum, while condolences are asked to be kept separate in this Passings forum - with varying cooperation. I remember the accident well and the ongoing discussion based on questionable news reports, but we really never got much more info I don't think. You can read the discussion but keep in mind that speculations and wild guesswork are allowed so that others can possibly learn about various what-if possibilities.
