Not at all. Function before form, of course, but if all things are equal than showing a little originality won't be held against you.

(except in certain circles, and even in those circles the rigidity is slowly diminishing over time).

The Halcyon webbing is the nicest I've seen, just the right stiffness.

I went (neon) green. (eco pun intended)

Easier to find straps, BC, or me underwater. Improves functionality.

Yeah! Holds its shape just nice, slides through my plastic halcyon sliding thing with reasonable effort
    and no flopping around

Hey but I tell you what, if this isn't the same stuff without the big blue H
    well then it should be

Man, why do you have to look at your webbing, it gives you phone neck
Just get someone to take a photo.

Look straight ahead when on a boat and you're strapping yourself in, you'll find it all eventually
then finding it underwater becomes a breeze, sort of, if anything underwater is really a breeze

    Little boy blue,
    Come blow your horn,
    The sheep's in the meadow,
    The cow's in the corn.
    But where is the boy
    Who looks after the sheep?
    He's under a haystack,
    Fast asleep.

    Will you wake him?
No, not I - for if I do,
    he's sure to cry

    I don't wear H webbing, it's advertising
I use softer because all I wear is a shirt
    at the moment

    or this
