Hey everyone, am I ever glad I found you! This January I became hopelessly addicted to diving, and my friends and family here in the midwest just don't seem to understand. But hey, now that I've stumbled upon this gem of a board the world can keep on turning.

A little background--I've lived in the midwest my whole life, mostly Chicago, but currently Michigan as well. During the summers I can be found working with horses in Colorado. This past winter, I became NAUI OW certified in Solarte, Panama and have since done a couple of dives off Florida's coast in the West Palm/Boynton Beach area. I can't get enough of it! Currently (within the next 2 years) I am planning on getting my divemaster and possibly my instructor cert with PADI or NAUI (if anyone has any words of wisdom on which program to become affiliated with, I'd love to chat).

I'm looking forward to learning a lot of valuable information from y'all and probably losing a number of hours here as well.

Pura Vida,
Shae

Welcome to the board! While your in Michigan you should come and hang out with the "Great Lakes Wrecking Crew". We are one of the "clubs" here on the board, just scroll down the forum list until you find us. You don't have to do anything to be a member of the Scubaboard clubs either  We're diving at Gilboa the weekend of April 16 so if you're in the area come on down!
