@tarponchik, you did the right thing by asking the manufacturer. Off hand I can understand why a hooka regulator would not work for scuba set up.
There is valuable advice around the ip gauge. It is a valuable and cheap tool to use but not a necessity. I use mine on every dive even though I don’t dive often. Peace of mind.
Good luck with your regulator purchase. I think though there is a balance between a cheap 100 regulator and a 1000 regulator that would be a solid choice. Many options out there.
