I am trying to get my IDC course in BC, and would like to know of your recommendations for a scuba shop/center to do it with this June....Would hope the center is next to the water so I can get some dives a couple of days before!!!

Have a look at Suncoast diving in Sechelt, www.suncoastdiving.com They run them frequently and have fantastic diving.
There aren't too many shops around here that have a CD who can do the full IDC (AI and OWSI) I did my IDC with Greg McCracken at Ocean Quest. He's very experienced. I highly recommend him.

Well, the key is to look for the "5 Star IDC" if you want the full course. In order to be that, they must have a CD on staff. And in order to conduct the OWSI portion, they must have the "IDC" rating at the shop.
